I've made these salt dough ornaments before. Super-cute. I used tempera paint with ours.

Use this salt dough recipe to make the ornaments above. (or anything else, for that matter!)

I thought that this looked neat and wanted to try it sometime.

I've made these snow globes before. They turned out great! I used glitter instead of the white stuff. You can make any type of snow globe you like. Use hot glue to attach a small toy or trinket to the under side of the lid. Let it cool. Fill with water (but not all the way! IT WILL SPILL!). Add glitter. Use hot glue to attach the lid when you are finished. Let the hot glue cool. Shake and enjoy! :-)

Pretty self explanatory. Colored strips of paper and a star made of gold/yellow paper. Use a glue stick and let your favorite kiddo help you!

I've seen this done with felt before. Use a large Popsicle stick, and small Popsicle sticks for the branches. use buttons, jewels, or sequins.Use a sparkly pipe cleaner to make the star. Hot glue will probably hold up better than regular Elmer's glue. Use yarn to attach and hang on your Christmas tree.

Made these adorable ornaments before as well. But, instead of buying blue ornaments, I used clear plastic bulbs. I also used blue tempera paint mixed with a little bit of water to shake up inside the clear ornament. Turn it upside down and let all the extra paint drain out for 24 hours, otherwise you will have yucky moldy paint inside. Add some white beans from a beanbag chair for a snowy effect. When doing the hand print on the outside, use white acrylic paint. Set the ornament in the child's hand and hold it by the top. Ask the child to gently squeeze the ornament to get the desired effect. After a few seconds, ask them to release it. Use an egg carton to hold the ornament so it can dry. Use permanent markers to make the hats, faces, and buttons. This worked well for me when I made them.
